Ethan Journey
💪 Self-improvement
Hey there folks, Ethan here. Today, I want to chat about something that's been on my mind for a while—this whole idea of self-improvement and how we can actually make it stick. You see, I've been reading a lot about habits and how they pretty much make or break our lives. Crazy, right?
So, what's a habit? It's basically anything you do so often that it starts to feel automatic. Think about it, brushing your teeth, grabbing your phone first thing in the morning, even the route you take to work. They're all habits. And the amazing thing is, once you nail a habit down, it takes up less mental space, making you more efficient and, well, giving you more time to enjoy life.
I've been talking to Alex about this too. Between all the coding and the globetrotting, you’d think habits would be the last thing on our minds. But let me tell you, even when we’re out hiking or exploring new cities, habits come into play. For me, it’s been small things like stretching every morning or jotting down things that I’m thankful for. Simple, but it does wonders for your day.
Now, you’re probably wondering, “Ethan, how do I get started with this habit stuff?” Well, it’s simple but not easy. First, pick something small that you can manage and build from there. Second, find a trigger, something that will prompt you to do it, like setting an alarm or leaving your running shoes by the door. Lastly, be consistent. I can’t stress this enough. It takes a little time, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll start seeing the benefits.
In the grand scheme of things, building good habits might not seem like a big deal. But trust me, these little routines, these nuggets of consistency, they’re the building blocks of a better you. They give you the confidence to take on bigger challenges and turn you into someone who doesn't just dream but actually does.
So, tell me, what’s the first habit you’re going to work on? Let’s make this journey of self-improvement together, one small habit at a time.
